Today you will discover the manufacturing process of the traditional products of the Herrera Province: sugarcane, salt, clay and bread.
Explore the many uses of sugarcane, from the refreshing sugarcane juice “guarapo,” to the traditional cooking of sugarcane honey and the production of artisan sugarcane liquor. Also learn about the extraction of salt from the Pacific Ocean, see the creation of handmade clay pottery, and observe how the famous La Arena bread is baked.
