Azuero Rum Tour
On this exclusive rum tour, you will visit Pesé, located in the heart of the Herrera Province and home to Hacienda San Isidro, where the famous Ron Abuelo and Seco Herrerano are produced. Traditional oxcarts will take you to the distillery at Hacienda San Isidro where you will learn about the various steps of producing rum and seco from sugarcane, including the grinding, fermenting and distilling processes.
Then continue to the bodega where the rum is being aged in barrels using two different techniques. Here you will enjoy a traditional Panamanian lunch and rum tasting of the Ron Abuelos aged 5, 7, 12 and 30 years (Ron Abuelo Centuria). An open bar with rum- and seco-based cocktails round off this authentic Panamanian rum tour.
